Dr. John Haschak, Director of Graduate Studies facilitates the I.D.E.A. group. Dr. Haschak is a former superintendent of schools having served for seven years at the Rittman Exempted Village School District in Wayne County Ohio, and more recently as Superintendent of Green Local in Summit County for nine years. Dr. Haschak did his Bachelor’s work at Bowling Green State Universtiy, Master’s at Miami University in Oxford Ohio, and his PhD at Kent State University also in Ohio. Dr. Haschak is a native of Cleveland Ohio, and served four years in the United States Army commanding two different units of the 14th Armored Cavalry in Fulda Germany. He completed service as a Captain, taught biology, coached both football and basketball, was a guidance counselor, assistant principal, at the middle and high school levels, and was principal of Kimpton Midddle School in Stow Ohio, prior to becoming superintendent. His wife is currently a practicing superintendent for Jackson Schools in Stark County. John is currently Director of Graduate Studies for Ashland University at the Massillon/Stark Center in Massillon Ohio, and has facilitated the High School Principal’s I.D.E.A. group for over ten years.
